After the big success of last semester, the new Humanitarian Committee will continue the tradition and organize a second “Run for Africa" What is the ‘Run for Africa’? The purpose of the run is to raise as much money as possible for the humanitarian initiative “Schools for Africa”, supported by CEMS, Unicef and the Nelson Mandela Foundation. At the same time it is a unique opportunity to indirectly contribute to the building of a school in Africa. Why participate? By participating in the “Run for Africa” you will help providing children access to education and to a brighter future. Especially in a privileged country like The Netherlands, where we go to university everyday, it is hard to imagine a life without proper education. Unfortunately, for many it is rather hard to imagine a life WITH proper education. Therefore, we introduce to you now - for the second time – our Run For Africa. Take part, run with us, and together we can change this sad reality of life for many African children. For more information about CEMS and Schools for Africa, please visit http://www.cems.org/humanprojects/schools . Like last semester we encourage you to raise more money by asking for sponsors for each lap you have run. Decide beforehand how many rounds you think you will run and ask friends/family/neighbors/professors to sponsor you. The gathered money from your personal sponsors, together with your participation fee will all be donated directly to the “School in Africa” that will be built with your support.
